Week one pays like learning (about $4 an hour)
The verdict
The community's honest band: week one often nets ≈$4/hr while you learn the platform. Plan for it or quit at it.
Ask experienced hustlers what their first week paid and a number recurs in the community record: around $4 an hour, sometimes less — labeled here as a community band, not a measurement. You are slow at the app, slow at the store, slow at the listing photos, and the platform does not know you yet.
Weeks two to four are where it bends: task-platform regulars describe stabilizing in the $12–$18 range once the geography, the regulars, and the rhythm arrive. The tragedy in the forums is not the $4 week; it is the person who budgeted rent on week one's screenshot — someone else's month-six screenshot.
Treat week one as tuition you pay yourself. If week four's honest number, run through the checker, is still under your floor, that is information, not failure — the quit-line guide is next.
The math, shown
- Week 1 (community band): ≈ $4/hr
- Weeks 2–4 (community band): $12–$18/hr stabilizing
- Judge on week 4's logged number, not week 1's
