Legit or Trap
MLM: the recruiting math nobody shows you
Verdict: Trap-leaning — legal product, brutal arithmetic
The pitch: The pitch: sell products you love, build a small team, earn from everyone's sales.
The companies publish income disclosures — read them, because the pitch won't. In disclosure after disclosure, the large majority of participants earn little or nothing, and the earnings concentrate in a top sliver whose income mostly comes from recruiting, not retail.
The structural math: your market is your warm circle, and the same circle is every other recruit's market. When the plan requires your friends to also sell, the product being sold is the opportunity itself.
The tells — spot them in any offer
- Income claims the disclosure document contradicts
- Starter kits priced like inventory you'd never choose retail
- Rank names doing the work salary bands do elsewhere
The honest alternative
If you love the product, resale marketplaces sell it without a downline. If you love selling, Fiverr, Upwork, and Etsy pay for the skill directly.
