Legit or Trap
Claim pattern: the bare revenue screenshot
Verdict: Pattern — a number with its costs amputated
The pitch: The pattern: a Stripe or dashboard screenshot — '$12,483 this month' — offered as proof a hustle works.
A revenue screenshot proves exactly one thing: money arrived. It does not show the ad spend that bought it, the chargebacks that clawed it back, the fees taken, the hours spent, or whether the month was the best of twelve or the only one. Costs are not cropped out by accident; the crop is the technique.
This site's rule exists because of this pattern: every number here carries its costs next to it and its source under it. When you see a number anywhere — including here — ask what it cost to make.
The tells — spot them in any offer
- Revenue with no date range
- No fees, ads, or chargebacks anywhere in frame
- The screenshot sells the next step
The honest alternative
Your own log beats any screenshot: one month of your gross, fees, costs, and hours, run through the checker, is the only proof sized to your life.
