Poshmark's flat fee quietly punishes small sales

The verdict

Under $15, Poshmark's flat $2.95 takes a bigger share than its famous 20%.

Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 on sales under $15 and 20% at $15 and above. The crossover is the story: at $10, the flat fee is 29.5% of your sale; at $14, it is 21%; only above $15 does the rate settle at the advertised fifth.

That makes small listings a different business from mid-size ones. Three $10 sales lose $8.85 in fees. One bundled $30 sale loses $6.00. Same clothes, same buyer sometimes — $2.85 kept just by combining the package.

If your closet is full of $8–$14 items, bundling is not a sales tactic. It is your fee strategy, and it is worth real money every single week.

The math, shown

  • $10 sale → fee $2.95 (29.5%)
  • $30 sale → fee $6.00 (20%)
  • Three $10 sales: $8.85 in fees vs $6.00 bundled
