Real Pay · Selling your own goods or digital products

Is Etsy worth it? Its real pay, after the fees nobody lists

Fully computable

Etsy is the default first shop for handmade goods, vintage, and digital downloads. Its fees are published to the cent — which also means they stack in four places beginners only notice at payout.

The part the poster skips: Most beginners price for the 6.5% and forget the other three slices: the listing fee on every sale, payment processing on the whole order including shipping, and the setup fee before the first dollar arrives.

What Etsy asks of you

The requirements

  • Car: no car needed
  • Published startup cost: $15 before your first dollar
  • Body: any level
  • Place: from home

Week one, in short

Day 1–2: open the shop (setup fee $15–$29) and list 5–10 items — listings are the rent.

The full first-week plan — day blocks, the shape of the week, and the quit signal — is in the Fit & Real Pay Pack.
